    Donation Suggestions

    The SF Firefighters Toy Program is collecting toys for infants through 13  years old.

    You may drop off donations at any SF Fire Station or if you are not in our area and would like to

    buy a Ethnic Doll or Toy at your online store of choice. You may send the toys to:

     Ready to get toys that make children Happy! The following items are donation suggestions!

    1.  Ethnic Dolls - We believe in raising self-esteem and cultural awareness in our youth.

    2. Cultural Books- When children have the opportunity to see characters in books that they can relate to, it makes them feel good about themselves.

    3. Sports Items- Basketballs, Footballs, Kick-Balls, Soccer Balls, Tennis Racquets, and Tennis Balls

    4. Board Games and Puzzles - These give children a chance to play and interact with their friends

    5. Arts and Crafts Items- Jewelry Making Kits, Markers, Crafts Kits, Paints

    6. Gifts for Teens- Gift Cards

    7. Bicycles- We hold a annual Bike Day where over 300 kids receive bicycles.

    8. New Stuffed Animals

    9. Remote Control Cars

    10. Learning Toys

    11. Baby Toys and Baby supplies. Wet-wipes, rattles, baby blankets

    Meet Kadija Phillips, author and sister of Kaliah's heart Children's Book. Kadija's sister was a Richmond Police Officer who dedicated herself to making a difference and serving the community. Kalia was killed in a domestic violence situation. Kadija wants to mend community relationships between the public and our law enforcement. through this healing process she wants to share her sister Kalias story. 

    Kadija is also the wife of San Francisco Firefighter Gurvis Phillips. Gurvis has been a volunteer at the SF Firefighters Toy Program for many years giving back to the community.  
    On August 11th, we are doing our summer mentoring day a the SF Zoo. Kadija will be reading her book to the children. We will have over 100 children from from underserved areas and OUR GOAL is to ensure each child receives one of the Kaliahs hearts books.
